Kindergarten school can be an exciting time for you and your child, because for the first time your kid will discover new things, get to socialize with others and will create a base for his entire school career. You will look on in wonder as she/he grows into a more capable, confident and an enthusiastic learner. It is full of excitement, experiment and growth. But sending your child off to school can be rough as well. As the day approaches, you will probably experience a mix of feelings ranging from relief to fear. And your anxiety will be rooted in some specific questions that will trouble you.
It's your child's first official year of school, and you'll be amazed by how much she/he flourishes. You have to help your child from the very first day of school. Be a cheerleader and encourage her/him to learn new things, build self-confidence and support them in whatever they execute. There will be focus throughout this year on mastering letters, sounds, and words. Help your kindergartner have fun with language and watch as her or his vocabulary explodes.
You'll watch with delight of what your child learns in a kindergarten. She/he will learn key fundamentals of math and will be able to count objects up to the number 30, she/he will be able to recognize names, and write all 26 letters of the alphabet, both uppercase and lowercase. She/he will know the correct sound or sounds that each letter makes and will be able to read about 30 sight words such as and, the, and in. She/he will also learn to write simple consonant, vowel, and consonant words, such as hat, red, and dog. Your child will even know how to name and describe common shapes like a circle, square, triangle, and rectangle and to identify, sort, and classify objects by colour, size, and shape. She/he will be able to identify the time of everyday events to the nearest hour. For example, that they leave for school at 8:00 in the morning or that they eat dinner at 9:00 in the evening. But it will still be hard for them to grasp fully the concept of time because they're concrete thinkers and time is abstract.
You cannot mould your kid into exactly whom you want she/he to be but you can at least set a strong base for your child to succeed in the upcoming years. Overall kindergarten schools plays a vital role in shaping your Childs personality.
